Fit, Safe, Well Cared For: Alzchem Relies on a Strong Health Culture

Anyone working at Alzchem receives more than just a secure job – they benefit from a comprehensive health program that truly stands out. Whether it’s back training courses, flu vaccinations, or ergonomic office chairs: employee health is a top priority at Alzchem.

A core element is the “gesund punkten…” program, which Alzchem developed together with other companies at the Trostberg Chemical Park. Since 2010, employees have been able to participate in certified health courses – ranging from back training and yoga to healthy nutrition. The courses are certified according to § 20 SGB V and are recognized by health insurance providers.

In addition, all employees benefit from comprehensive medical care provided by the company doctors and the medical team – including preventive check-ups, vaccination offers such as the annual flu shot, and rapid assistance in case of accidents or acute complaints.

Alzchem also actively supports employees returning after a long illness: as part of the company integration management, individual solutions are developed – for example, through adjusted tasks, technical workplace adaptations, or personal support.

Another important building block is workplace design: height-adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, and individually adapted work equipment ensure healthy working conditions – both in the office and in production.

Safety and prevention are also top priorities at Alzchem:

  • 100% of employees regularly participate in health and safety training.
  • In 2024, more than 21,900 training sessions were conducted in this area – an average of 13.3 sessions per person.
  • All sites are certified according to the OHRIS occupational health and safety management system.

Psychosocial health is not forgotten either: for employees with health limitations, Alzchem offers suitable workplaces and works closely with inclusion offices and specialist services.

Finally, flexible working time models, mobile working, and cooperation with the Alzstadt kindergarten in Trostberg contribute, among other things, to a good work-life balance – an important factor for mental well-being.

“We want our employees to stay healthy – and to feel well cared for with us,” summarizes Karin Danner, Head of Human Resources. The results speak for themselves: satisfaction is high, turnover is low – and Alzchem remains an attractive employer in the region.
