The extension of the current feed additive status of guanidinoacetic acid – successfully progressed by AlzChem – became effective with publication in the Code of Federal Regulation in July 2021.
Creamino® is a feed additive for animals that, once absorbed into the body, is used for the synthesis of creatine. Creamino® therefore provides additional energy for healthy growth. By shortening the body's own creatine synthesis, feed ingredients are available for other physiological processes.
The use of Creamino® can therefore lead to cost savings for the farmer and a reduction in the environmental footprint in terms of feed production and transport. Creamino® was developed by Alzchem between 2005 and 2009 and has country-specific approval. It is currently used for poultry and pigs. Creamino® is Alzchem's creatine product developed specifically for use in animal feed.
