49 trainees kick off their careers at Alzchem
Trostberg, September 1, 2026. Today, 49 young people began their professional careers at the Trostberg Chemical Park.
Among them are eight aspiring industrial business administrators, seven electronics technicians for industrial engineering, nine industrial mechanics, 13 chemical technicians, eight chemical laboratory technicians, two warehouse logistics specialists, one technical product designer, and one IT specialist for system integration.
As part of a joint training program, Alzchem offers apprenticeships on behalf of Master Builders Solutions Deutschland GmbH, Sika Deutschland GmbH, BAS Bavaria Alloys Systems, and BASF Construction Additives GmbH.
Alzchem currently has a total of 149 future skilled workers on board, including two dual-track students in mechanical engineering. This corresponds to a training rate of 8.5 percent—3.5 percentage points above the national average.
After the gathering at “Roter Platz” followed by a group photo, the trainees were welcomed in the company cafeteria by training manager Christoph Huber:
“With the start of the training program, we are not only investing in the skilled workers of tomorrow, but above all in young people who, with their commitment, ideas, and willingness to learn, will actively shape the future of our company,” says Christoph Huber, speaking on behalf of Chemiepark Trostberg.
“We are very pleased to welcome so many young people who have chosen to pursue an apprenticeship with us. They bring curiosity, motivation, and fresh perspectives, thereby laying the foundation for successful career development.”
Martina Spitzer, CEO of Alzchem Group AG, adds: “Well-trained young talent is essential for our company’s long-term competitiveness and innovative strength.
The high percentage of apprentices demonstrates the importance Alzchem places on fostering young talent. We look forward to supporting the apprentices on their journey and working together to shape the future of our site in a sustainable way.”
Works council chairman Christian Ortbauer also welcomed the new team members on behalf of the employee representatives.
The trainees can first look forward to four orientation days: Divided into occupational groups, the schedule includes an introduction to the most important software programs and company processes, icebreaker games, and a plant tour. In addition, the future specialists will receive iPads that they will use in their daily work and are allowed to keep at the end of their training.
As a special highlight, the trainees can look forward to a team event with an overnight stay in the mountains, where they can get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere and have fun preparing for their future tasks together.
While the trainees will be taking their first steps into the profession in 2026, the application process for the training program starting in September 2027 has already begun.
Young people looking for a future-proof and varied apprenticeship are welcome to submit their application materials by the end of September 2026.
