At the end of the year the members of the Trostberg Chemical Park fire department met together in the canteen, where Fire Department Commander Franz Kaltenecker used the opportunity to present a short review of the exercises and operations carried out in 2011. He expressed his appreciation for the excellent manner in which the whole team had worked together throughout.

 

As a result of professional training the works fire department now has eight station officers, 13 group leaders, 26 engine operators, 58 breathing apparatus carriers, and numbers 81 personnel in total. Says Kaltenecker: “I am so pleased that we have such a strong team ready to jump into action, and I wish all members and their families a happy and peaceful Christmas holiday and a healthy and prosperous, and especially incident-free 2012.”

 

Robert Vollmaier, Bernhard Mitterer, Theo Schuster and Stefan Kaltenecker-Reichl in particular distinguished themselves in 2011 through their active participation in training exercises and operations, and Karl Würzinger was honored for his almost 31 years of service to the works fire department.

Promotions were awarded to:

 

·         Stefan Kaltenecker-Reichl, who becomes First Fire Officer

·         Bernhard Mitterer, who becomes Head Fire Officer

·         Hubert Enenkel, Otto Schirmer and Konrad Unterpaintner, who become Fire Chiefs

·         Udo Buchreiter and Franz Kaltenecker, who become Head Fire Chiefs

 

AlzChem director Ulli Seibel also expressed his appreciation to the works fire department and rescue services. “Thank you for the personal commitment shown by each and every one of the members, and we hope that next year too there will be no serious emergencies."
