Press Release 15.11.2011 - AlzChem contributes to Social FundShortly before the autumn meeting of the Trostberg Foerderkreis (funding and support group) last week, AlzChem director Stefan Greger handed over a check to mayor Karl Schleid for almost € 700, the money intended as a contribution to the city’s social fund.AlzChem sold many 5 kg sacks of Perlka to visitors at the Open Day event in September, pointing out that the proceeds of the sale would be going to benefit the social fund. “All our activities, such as the Open Day, the benefit concert for the music school and the activities for the employees such as the health program "gesund punkten … (Improving your health score)” are examples of how we play an active part in the local community, and demonstrate our sense of responsibility towards the region“, comments Stefan Greger. Mayor Schleid added: “I am very pleased with the way we all work together and particularly with the social commitment shown by Trostberg companies.“
The city of Trostberg’s social fund was set up to assist people who are in situations of acute and severe hardship. The city’s social welfare office is able to quickly get the money where it is most urgently needed, and without a lot of red tape and form-filling. It provides emergency aid, bridging funds, money to purchase urgently needed household appliances, heating materials and the suchlike. As a result low-income single parents and elderly people living alone can receive urgent support and assistance.
