The groundbreaking ceremony for AlzChem AG’s new silicon nitride facility in Trostberg was held at the end of June. Last week the contractors and builders celebrated the traditional topping-out ceremony for AlzChem’s € 13 million investment. “A fantastic team accomplishment – we are now celebrating the topping out less than four months after the initial groundbreaking. The sub-assemblies are now being installed in the winter in the warm, dry buildings. The project is running fully on schedule and we are looking forward with some excitement to when the first batches of Silzot come out of the new facility. I would like to thank all those who have made this possible through their hard work and commitment”, AlzChem president production Ulli Seibel was pleased to announce.

 

With its new silicon nitride facility AlzChem is tripling its capacity for Silzot^® SQ, an ultrapure silicon nitride used to produce polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules. As a result AlzChem is moving ahead with the times and also backing renewable energies.
