Press Release - Strengthening of AlzChem’s top management; Andreas Niedermaier new managing directorAs of February 8th, Andreas Niedermaier joins the AlzChem management as new managing director. Andreas Niedermaier adds his strengths and abilities to the management team already in place, consisting of Stefan Greger and Ulli Seibel.This move will see the company’s business responsibilities allocated across production, marketing/sales and finance – a normal arrangement in SMEs. Markus Zöllner, chairman of the AlzChem supervisory board and founding partner of the new shareholder BluO, welcomes Niedermaier’s decision to take over management duties in the commercial area: “I’m very pleased to have obtained Andreas Niedermaier’s services for these responsibilities.” Andreas Niedermaier represents stability and solid business management, he knows AlzChem’s business inside out and is an expert in the business environment, where he enjoys a reputation as a responsible and respected business partner.” After several industrial activities, Andreas Niedermaier (40), a graduate in industrial engineering, joined the capital goods and chemicals industry on April 1, 1999, where he handled a range of duties in the controlling division of what was then SKW Trostberg AG. These included numerous projects such as the sale of a site, parts of the merger activities of SKW and Degussa, cost-cutting programs and restructuring measures of Degussa in Europe and in the USA. In the period between 2003 and 2005, Andreas Niedermaier led various mergers and acquisitions activities of Degussa in China. Since 2005 he has been the head of the finance, controlling and accounting department of what is today AlzChem Trostberg GmbH. His responsibilities have included important restructuring projects, and the establishment of the AlzChem finance, controlling and accounting department.
