Electronics Technician plan and install, configurate and maintain customer-tailored IT equipment of information and communication technologies. They are, e.g. responsible for computer systems, networking, peripheral equipment, telephone systems or electronic security systems.
They define demand and requirements, obtain the hardware and software required, take care of security and ergonomical aspects, in brief, they start up and operate the entire IT system. Testing, documentation and administration as well as end user support are part of their tasks as well as modifying systems in
order to adapt them to customers' requirements. In case of technical problems the IT specialists identify the causes and eleminate them by exchanging
components or adapting software. Their competence includes technical know how as well as knowledge of internal operation and communication ways
as well as planning and realising projects. Their range of tasks also comprises training as well as technical advice for end users. |
